Different melt point waxes will produce a variety of effects & looks. We can provide everything from quantities for small projects to pallet & container loads for large projects such as simulating ice (ie. frozen lakes).

Paraffin is sold by weight - weight varies, but averages are 4.5kg (10 lbs) per slab / 27kg (60 lbs) per box.

Great for simulating Ice and Coal (as seen in Santa Clause 2)!
This blend of vegetable oils from renewable resources comes in flake form and produces a crystalline finish. The end result is a very hard wax that can chipped & cracked. No additives are required (ie. mold release, polybar) and colour may be added in similar quantity as paraffin wax. Cooling time will effect the crystallization of the finished surface (slow cooling will increase crystallization). Not to be used in acrylic molds (tends to stick to walls of mold making removal difficult). This product will turn a pinkish colour if heated above 190°F no matter what colour it has been dyed.
Clear wax, jelly consistency. Works well for special effects & props, great for simulating clear ice. Cannot hold a form, best applied in a thin layer to a surface.
Gel Wax is made from a specially selected and processed mineral oil and a gelling agent, giving it a clear, rubbery texture. Gel Wax should be melted slowly in a pot on a low heat. For less bubbles heat to 90° - 98°C (200° - 210°F). Heat to 76°-88°C (170°-190°F) for more bubbles. THIS MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES! Always use a thermometer to ensure safety and a good end product, and do not use wooden untensils to stir with (metal is recommended).
